Hertog Jan Vatgerijpt Reposado is an ambitious barrel-aging project from this Limburgian brewery: a Quadrupel matured in oak that once held tequila. The base beer—a robust, strong Quadrupel—transforms through this maturation into something unexpected. Rather than heavy dark fruit, soft tropical notes and subtle warmth emerge.

The aroma reveals oak and whispers of the barrel's former life. On the palate, gentle fruit flavours unfold, full-bodied yet not heavy. The finish is pleasant, with a balanced bitterness that doesn't let the alcohol dominate.
