Birra Ichnusa has been Sardinia's pride since 1912. This traditional lager is brewed in Assemini, near the island's capital Cagliari, using pure barley malt and carefully selected hops. The name derives from the Greek word for 'footprint'—a nod to the beer's deep roots in Sardinian history. The beer develops its distinctive character during four weeks of maturation before bottling. Ichnusa delivers a clean, refreshing experience with subtle malt sweetness and a dry finish. Its light body and moderate bitterness make it ideal for warm climates. Under Heineken International ownership since 1986, Ichnusa remains a beloved local classic.
