Gulpener Wintervrund is a robust winter ale from Gulpener Brewery, founded in 1825 in Gulpen, Limburg's southernmost town. This unfiltered reddish-brown beer is brewed with barley and wheat, enriched with juniper berries and liquorice root. At 8.5% ABV, it delivers a full, sweet flavour with spiced and caramel undertones.

The aroma reveals juniper, malt and clove. On the palate, dark fruits emerge alongside a subtle liquorice note and faint citrus. The finish is lightly spiced and malty, with a warming alcohol presence befitting a winter ale.
