Gulpener Herfstbock is a seasonal classic from the independent Gulpen brewery in Limburg, brewed since 2002. This traditional autumn bock is crafted from 100% local barley, delivering a full-bodied malt character that defines the style. The flavour unfolds in distinct layers: malty sweetness leads to deep caramel and subtle chocolate notes, with a whisper of spice adding complexity. The finish turns dry and hoppy, bringing balance to the beer's sweeter core. At 6.5% ABV, Herfstbock is a substantial beer suited to autumn enjoyment.
