Fik de Foeder is a collaboration between Gulpener Bierbrouwerij and BOM Brewery. This amber-coloured strong ale at 8% ABV is brewed with toasted wood pieces sourced from an old foeder – a large wooden barrel traditionally used for beer maturation. The result is a robust beer that defies easy categorisation.

The nose presents malty aromatics with subtle wine-like notes. On the palate, sweet caramel and roasted grain flavours emerge, while the wood character adds complexity without dominating. The finish is relatively brief but leaves a pleasant impression.
