Fourpure Deucebox is an ambitious Double IPA from London, where the brewery pushes their philosophy of pure ingredients to the limit. With double quantities of malt, hops and juice, a full-bodied, fruity beer emerges with tropical and citrus character. The aroma is dominated by citrus fruits, notably orange peel and piney hop notes. On the palate, a powerful combination of pine resin and citrus appears, supported by sweet malt characters. The finish is dry and clean, with a pleasant bitterness that never overwhelms. At 8.3% ABV, the beer feels fuller and more mature than many standard IPAs, yet remains surprisingly drinkable thanks to the balance between sweetness and bitter.
