Barrel Runner is a rum barrel-aged imperial IPA from Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This robust ale at 11.1% ABV was brewed with Mosaic hops and aged in rum barrels, delivering a sweet, tropical character. It marks the fourth release in Founders' Barrel Aged series in 2018. The beer presents an intense, sweet palate with citric bitterness and a full, smooth body. Rum barrel maturation contributes vanilla and oak notes, while Mosaic hops provide brightness and fruity complexity. The finish is pleasantly sweet with a warming, boozy undertone.
