De Houten Valk is a hobby brewery based in Kalmthout, Belgium, established in 2015. Gouwe Swa is their core tripel: a golden, unfiltered beer with bottle conditioning. The beer presents a clear golden hue topped with a white head. On the nose, pale malt, floral hops and yeast come through clearly. The palate brings yeast character, spicy malt notes, herbs and tart fruit flavours into balance across its 8.5% ABV. This bottle-conditioned tripel suits festive occasions and beer-focused gatherings where a characterful, well-rounded ale is appreciated.
