Heeren van Beerta Amarillo is a fruity IPA from the Groningen countryside, brewed by the now-closed De Heeren van Beerta brewery in Oldehove. At 7% alcohol, this IPA delivers a fresh and fruity character. The brewery built its foundation on Pils and Caramel malts, complemented by a thoughtful hop blend: Galena, Chinook, Cascade, Simcoe and Amarillo. This combination yields 63 IBU of bitterness, allowing the fruity notes of Amarillo hops to shine through. Although De Heeren van Beerta ceased production in 2021, Amarillo stands as a testament to their craft approach on the Groningen farmlands.
