Brulo Strata IPA is an alcohol-free hop-forward beer that explores a single hop variety in isolation. Strata, a relatively young aroma hop developed in 2009 at Oregon State's breeding programme, forms the foundation of this release. Brulo, founded in 2019 by James Brown, positions this within their single hop series—an ambitious project that trialled over 30 different hop varieties. The aroma reveals subtle tropical fruit notes layered with grassy and lightly piney hop character. On the palate, the beer balances soft fruitiness against assertive bitterness, allowing Strata's distinctive tropical profile to emerge. The finish is dry and bitter with a smooth mouthfeel, delivering genuine hop expression despite the near-zero alcohol content.
