Brouwersnös in Groenlo crafts this Barrel Aged Dubbel using a distinctive method: a single 2000-litre base batch is split across different oak barrels, each yielding its own flavour expression. The oak maturation layers the beer with character while respecting the full, malty foundation of a traditional Dubbel. The beer pours deep reddish-brown to copper. Oak aging introduces vanilla, toast and soft caramel notes, while the malty backbone remains present and grounded. The result is layered and warming, with sufficient alcohol to support the wood influence and complexity.
