This jet-black beer merges smoky and roasted malt character with the assertive hop bitterness of a true IPA. The pour reveals a deep, dark colour topped with a beige head. The nose opens with coffee, chocolate and dried fruit notes. The palate is powerful and full-bodied, with milk chocolate, cappuccino and blackberry flavours balanced by moderate hop bitterness. The finish is dry and bitter, with roasted malt lingering on the palate. At 8% alcohol, Visioen delivers warmth and body that complements its complex malt foundation.
