Steenbrugge Tripel
Steenbrugge Tripel from Brouwerij Palm is a Belgian abbey beer drawing its name from the medieval brewing traditions of Bruges. This golden blonde tripel at 8.5% ABV is brewed with a cosmopolitan blend of English hops, French barley, and Belgian yeast.
The flavour is fuller and immediately sweet and dense, with characteristic notes of caramel and honey from the Palm yeast and sweet malts. There is subtle fruitiness and light smokiness, with hints of coriander and cinnamon. The hop bitterness develops slowly and gradually, resulting in a dry finish despite the initial sweetness.
Despite its robust alcohol content, this tripel drinks smoothly and accessibly, with only a slight alcohol warmth in the pleasant aftertaste.
