Uruz is a Quadrupel brewed by Brouwerij IJssel, based in Krimpen aan den IJssel. The beer takes its name from an ancient Germanic rune symbolizing the wild aurochs – a fitting choice for this powerful, dark brown ale. Pilsener and Munich Light malts form the foundation, complemented by Caramunich, Special B, and Wheat Black for depth and color. Citra and Golding hops provide balance. At 9.2% ABV, this beer delivers full body and complexity. In the glass it appears dark brown with a stable, light brown head. The nose shows roasted malts, while the palate is malty and elegant – a beer that sits comfortably in the Dark & Elegant category.
