David vs Goliath from Frontaal Brewing Company is a full-bodied barrel-aged barleywine at 10% ABV. The beer honours David, a dear friend of the brewery who unexpectedly passed away. David had worked alongside the brewers to select wooden barrels for maturation: Four Roses, Heaven Hill and Wild Turkey bourbon casks.

Maturation in these three American whisky barrels creates a complex profile with notes of caramel, raisin and red fruit. The finish is sweet and syrupy, with a warming alcohol presence that lingers on the palate. The oily, full mouthfeel carries the rich flavour layers developed through extended barrel aging.
