Dikke Jan Blond is a pure blonde beer from Brouwerij Dikke Jan, brewed with pilsner malt and a touch of corn. At 5.5% alcohol, it sits comfortably among lighter blonde ales, yet benefits from the high fermentation characteristic of Belgian breweries. The beer shares family traits with the Tripel in the same range, but stands firmly on its own. In the glass, a fresh and fruity beer emerges with a slightly sweet nose and subtle tart notes. Despite the initial aromatic sweetness, the palate is notably dry, with fine spice and hoppy notes that provide balance.
