Hommage is Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen's tribute to founder Gaston Debelder, created by his son Armand following his death in 2005. This gueuze represents the pinnacle of the brewery's blending craft: spontaneously fermented lambic combined with 30% fresh raspberries and 5% sour cherries. The beer pours deep ruby red and opens with a potent bouquet of raspberry, cherry and earthy funk. On the palate, tart and sour flavours shine through, joined by citrus, oak and subtle vinegar notes. A light to medium body with moderate carbonation creates a refined, well-balanced experience. Like all 3 Fonteinen gueuzes, Hommage undergoes spontaneous refermentation in the bottle. No artificial colours or flavour enhancers. A rare and highly sought release.
