Stadshaven Brouwerij in Rotterdam brews this tripel in a restored 100-year-old fruit warehouse. It is a full-bodied, aromatic tripel at 8.5% ABV that does not hold back. The nose reveals strong pale malt with honey and herbal notes. On the palate, sweet malt and fruity esters take centre stage, complemented by an unexpected blend of sun-ripe mango, kumquat and a hint of deep crimson chili. White pepper and banana candy add further complexity. The finish is fruity and spicy with a pleasant dry edge. Medium body and crisp carbonation provide a satisfying, clean conclusion.
