Boerinneken is a powerful blonde ale at 9.5% ABV, brewed by De Proefbrouwerij for the Den Ouden Advocaat cooperative. This beer blends Styrian and Golding hops with pilsner malt to create a complex character, balancing assertive malt bitterness with a pleasant sweet finish. The beer presents a dark-brown colour with an ivory head. The nose shows warm vanilla, caramel and roasted chocolate notes, alongside fruity esters. On the palate, rich malt character leads to a sweet, lingering finish with chocolate and caramel undertones, supported by a substantial body and low carbonation.
