Lübecker Urzwickel from Sudden Death Brewing Company is an unfiltered, unpasteurised kellerbier from picturesque Lübeck. This is a traditional German beer style, consumed fresh from the cellar with full character and no compromise. The brew combines Pilsener and Cara-Pils malts with a compelling hop blend of Magnum, Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic. This delivers a beer far more hop-forward than you might expect from a classic kellerbier – a modern take on a time-honoured style. At 4.8% ABV and 25 IBU, this is an approachable yet assertive beer. Sudden Death themselves call it their "all year get drunk beer" – a daily-drinking kellerbier with enough flavour and bitterness to remain genuinely interesting.
