Mort Subite Kriek Lambic Tradition is a classic Belgian cherry lambic from Kobbegem, brewed by Mort Subite under Heineken. This fruity lambic merges the spontaneous fermentation of traditional lambic with fresh cherries, creating a refreshing interplay of sweet fruit and subtle sourness. The beer displays a crystal-clear, intense red colour with a fine white head. On the nose, you'll find aromas of morello cherries, marzipan and bakery notes. The palate is fruity and pleasantly tart, with the characteristic lambic edge providing a refreshing contrast to the cherry sweetness. At 4.5% ABV, this is an approachable kriek, perfect as an aperitif or with light dishes. The beer earned bronze at the 2024 World Beer Awards.
