Common Grounds is a coffee porter from Magic Rock Brewing in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, created in collaboration with local roaster Dark Woods. This full-bodied, smooth beer draws its complexity from seven malts—Brown, Chocolate, Carafa Special 3 and Dark Crystal among them—which build a layered profile of roasted character, dark chocolate and coffee. The aroma opens with coffee-forward notes and slightly tart, acidic cold brew character, backed by roasty malt and dark chocolate. On the palate, rich coffee and cocoa flavours take centre stage, with restrained hop bitterness adding structure. The finish is clean and dry, with lingering coffee and chocolate notes.
