ReAle Extra from Birra del Borgo is an American-style India Pale Ale where hop character dominates. The brewery adds multiple hop varieties exclusively in the final ten minutes of the boil—three times more than in the classic ReAle—creating an explosion of aromatic intensity. Pour reveals a hazy, dark tangerine hue with a fine ivory head. The nose shows hop resin, grapefruit and pine with jammy fruit notes. Palate balances malt undertones of bread and light toffee against layered citrus and lemon hop flavors. The finish is dry and assertive, carried by considerable carbonation and medium body.
