Black Milk is an Imperial Milk Stout from Asperius Brewery, the Amsterdam craft brewery housed within restaurant Zest. This full-bodied stout gains its distinctive creamy sweetness from lactose, an unfermentable sugar that yeast cannot process. The nose reveals roasted coffee and dark chocolate with hints of hazelnut. On the palate, roasted malt sweetness meets deep cocoa and espresso notes, finishing with a gentle bitterness.
