Bittere Waarheid is a TIPA brewed by Brouwerij Het Alternatief in Izegem, West Flanders. This strong golden ale at 11% ABV opens with a sweet character, then develops into pronounced hop bitterness and fruity complexity. The nose reveals orange peel, spice and ripe stone fruits, while the palate moves from caramel and brown sugar into earthy undertones and assertive hop bite. Medium-bodied with crisp carbonation and a creamy foam, this beer finishes dry and bitter with lingering hop character. It is a layered beer that ages well in the bottle, with its elements gaining harmony over time.
