Brewery 't Paenhuys is a small Belgian one-man operation founded in 2010. Based in East Flanders, the brewery was established by Paul Van Nieulande, who brews on a compact 300-litre installation. Despite its modest scale, 't Paenhuys produces around 50 hectolitres of beer per year, demonstrating a true artisanal and hands-on approach to the craft. The brewery has invested in its future with a new brewing installation, unveiled during an Ambachtelijk Weekend for which a special new beer was brewed to mark the occasion. As a one-man craft brewery, 't Paenhuys focuses on small-batch, handcrafted beers that reflect the traditions of Belgian brewing. The brewery is listed among notable East Flemish producers and has earned a place in guides covering Belgian beer experiences in Flanders. Its intimate scale allows for careful attention to every batch, making each beer a personal expression of the brewer's craft. 't Paenhuys has also demonstrated a collaborative spirit within the Belgian craft beer scene. The brewery partnered with De Gekroonde Hoofden on a beer called Velvet Sheep, an aged collaboration release that attracted attention across the community. These partnerships highlight 't Paenhuys as a respected small brewer willing to push creative boundaries alongside fellow craft enthusiasts.
