Marz Community Brewing
United States · Founded in 2013
Marz Community Brewing Co. was born out of a dream in 2013, taking shape around the tables of Maria's Packaged Goods & Community Bar in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Founded by a close-knit group of brewers, artists, and friends, the brewery set out to bring something genuinely new to the Chicago beer scene. The Bridgeport roots run deep — the project grew directly from the community spirit of the family bar that inspired its name and ethos. Marz has built a diverse and creative portfolio that spans a wide range of beer styles, from crisp Polish-style lagers and Festbiers to hazy IPAs and American pale wheat ales. Flagship beers like Jungle Boogie — an American Pale Wheat — and Tropical Tiger, a Hazy IPA, have earned the brewery a devoted following across Chicagoland. The brewery also produces non-alcoholic beverages, spirits, and hemp-based drinks, reflecting an adventurous approach that goes well beyond traditional brewing. Marz's taproom, located at 3630 South Iron Street, opened in 2018 and quickly became a destination in its own right — a creative space where art, design, and beer culture intersect. With curated interiors, views into the brewing operation, and Midwest snacks on offer, Marz has cultivated one of Chicago's most ardent and loyal fan bases.
