Lech Browary Wielkopolski
Poland · Founded in 1895
Lech Browary Wielkopolski is a large industrial brewery located in Poznań, Poland, with roots dating back to 1895. The brewery is one of the oldest and most storied brewing establishments in the Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) region, and its long history reflects the deep brewing traditions of this part of central-western Poland. In 1999, Lech Browary Wielkopolski merged with Tyskie Browary Książęce to form Kompania Piwowarska, which today stands as one of the leading beer companies in Poland. The brewery is primarily known for producing Lech, a pilsner-style lager that has become one of Poland's most recognizable beer brands. As part of the Kompania Piwowarska portfolio, Lech sits alongside other major Polish brands such as Tyskie and Żubr. The Lech lager is brewed in the crisp, clean pilsner tradition, making it a staple on taps and shelves across Poland and increasingly in export markets. The Poznań brewery has continuously invested in its production infrastructure over the decades, including multiple upgrades to canning and bottling lines. Today, Lech Browary Wielkopolski remains one of the key brewing sites within the Kompania Piwowarska group, helping to supply one of the largest beer portfolios in the Polish market.
