Jump Ship Brewing is Scotland's first and only dedicated alcohol-free brewery, founded by Sonja and based at Rosemains Steading near Pathhead in Midlothian. The brewery was born out of a passion for crafting high-quality beer without the alcohol, flying the flag for the best in alcohol-free craft beer. Within its first five years, Jump Ship grew from delivering its first pallet of beer into Drydrinker to becoming a recognised name in the no and low alcohol brewing scene. It is also a woman-owned, independent brewery — a rare and inspiring combination in the craft beer world. Jump Ship brews exclusively within the low and no alcohol category, with all beers coming in at 0.5% ABV. The brewery uses soft Scottish water and locally-grown malt, giving its beers a distinct regional character. All beers are gluten-free and vegan, making them widely accessible. The portfolio spans a range of styles, from lager to sour beer, demonstrating that alcohol-free brewing can be just as varied and adventurous as its full-strength counterparts. Jump Ship's debut beer, Yardarm lager, helped establish the brewery's reputation when it launched alongside Soundbite. More recently, the brewery released Ocean Drift Cherry Sour, showcasing continued innovation. The brewery has been recognised as producing the world's best non-alcoholic lager, and has earned award-winning status within the craft beer community.
