Brewery

Crans Craft Beer

Crans Craft Beer was a small gypsy brewery based in Almere-Buiten, in the Dutch province of Flevoland. Founded by Jan Ronald Crans — also known as De Biermeester (The Beer Master) — the brewery started as a hobbyist venture before transitioning into a commercial operation at the beginning of 2016. The first experimental batches were brewed on a small home setup, with pots and pans, before scaling up to rented brewing facilities. As a gypsy brewery, Crans Craft Beer operated without a fixed brewing location of its own, instead using hired brewing capacity to produce its beers. Jan Ronald Crans brought a personal and hands-on approach to brewing, crafting small-batch beers that reflected his passion for the craft. The brewery was a modest but dedicated player in the Dutch craft beer scene during its active years. Crans Craft Beer ceased commercial operations on 31 December 2019, when Jan Ronald Crans announced via social media that he had decided to stop commercial brewing after careful consideration. Though short-lived, the brewery contributed to the growing craft beer movement in the Almere region and the broader Netherlands.
