Budelse Brouwerij

Budelse Brouwerij is a family-owned Dutch brewery located in Budel, in the North Brabant province of the Netherlands. Founded in 1870 under the name De Hoop, the brewery has remained a small, independent family business for over 150 years. Now in the hands of the fourth generation of the Arts family, Budelse Brouwerij was granted the prestigious Royal Warrant (Hofleverancier) designation, recognising its longstanding contribution to Dutch brewing heritage. The brewery is perhaps best known as a pioneer in organic brewing in the Netherlands. In 1999, Budelse became the first brewery in the country to brew certified organic beers, a milestone that set it apart in the Dutch craft and specialty beer landscape. Its portfolio includes a range of distinctive beers, among them Budels Honing, a honey beer that has drawn attention from beer enthusiasts both domestically and internationally. Over its long history, Budelse Brouwerij has consistently demonstrated that a small, family-run operation can compete in niche markets. The brewery offers guided excursions and tastings, inviting visitors to discover the history and craftsmanship behind its beers. With more than 150 years of brewing experience and a commitment to organic ingredients, Budelse remains one of the most distinctive and historically significant breweries in North Brabant.
