Brouwerij Eutropius is one of Belgium's smallest active breweries, located at Mellestraat 138 in Heule, a sub-municipality of Kortrijk in West Flanders. The brewery is named after Saint Eutropius, the patron saint of Heule, giving it a strong local identity and connection to the community it serves. The brewery focuses on artisanal Belgian beer styles and had at least nine craft beers in its range by 2009. Its portfolio includes a variety of styles, among them a blond beer and darker ales. One of its notable beers is the Fretalop, an amber-coloured tripel praised for its beautiful balance between sweetness and bitterness, a full-bodied flavour, and a score of 8.3 out of 10 from independent tasters. The brewery also produced a Remembrance Beer, a blond beer at nine percent alcohol, brewed to commemorate the First World War. Brouwerij Eutropius offers brewery tours that cover the history of beer, the brewing process, and Belgian beer styles including Trappist ales. The brewery has been listed in official Belgian beer tourism guides and holds a 4.3 rating on Tripadvisor, reflecting appreciation from both beer enthusiasts and visitors to the region.
