Brouwerij Bak 'n Ros was a craft brewery based in Den Ham, a small village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. Founded in 2019, the brewery dedicated itself to producing artisanal specialty beers with a clear identity rooted in its regional surroundings. After several years of brewing, the brewery ceased operations in 2024. The brewery launched with two beers in 2019: Horsefighter UT and White Horse UT, both session-strength beers reflecting a signature approach to accessible yet characterful brews. Alongside its core range, Bak 'n Ros also produced so-called lab batches — experimental brews that allowed the brewers to explore new styles and ingredients. Among the beers in its portfolio was The Great Galloper, a smoked porter at 6.79% ABV, showcasing the brewery's willingness to venture into more robust and complex beer styles. Though short-lived, Brouwerij Bak 'n Ros contributed to the growing craft beer scene in the eastern Netherlands, offering a range of styles from low-alcohol session beers to full-bodied smoked porters. Its experimental lab brews demonstrated an adventurous spirit that defined its brief but noteworthy presence in the Dutch craft beer landscape.
