Brauerei Diebels is a historic German brewery situated in Issum on the Lower Rhine, founded in 1878 by Josef Diebels. Over more than a century, it established itself as one of the most recognisable names in German brewing, deeply rooted in the traditions of the Lower Rhine region. The brewery's address today is Brauerei-Diebels-Straße 1, a street bearing its own name — a testament to its longstanding presence in the community. In later decades, Diebels was acquired by Interbrew and subsequently became part of the Anheuser-Busch InBev portfolio, one of the world's largest brewing groups. Diebels is best known for brewing Altbier, a traditional top-fermented German beer style closely associated with the Lower Rhine and Düsseldorf region.
