Brasserie La Choulette
France
Brasserie La Choulette is a historic French brewery located in Hordain, in the Nord region of northern France. With roots dating back to the 1880s, the brewery stands as one of the oldest and most storied producers in its area. It is situated at 16 rue des Ecoles in Hordain, and has been one of the key regional breweries that participated in the revival of traditional French beer styles after decades of industrial brewing dominance. La Choulette is closely associated with bière de garde, the slow-fermented, bottle-conditioned ale style native to the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France. Alongside fellow northern French breweries such as Brasserie Castelain, Brasserie Duyck (Jenlain), and Brasserie St. Sylvestre, La Choulette has been a driving force in keeping this regional beer tradition alive. The brewery's portfolio reflects a deep commitment to flavour and craftsmanship rooted in local brewing heritage. One notable release from La Choulette is a beer brewed in 1989 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. With over 100 years of history, the brewery also offers a visitor experience through the Choulette Expérience, where guests can discover its history, values, and beers firsthand.
