Bierbrouwerij Sint Servattumus
Netherlands · Founded in 1992
Bierbrouwerij Sint Servattumus is an artisanal brewery based in Schijndel, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. Its roots go back to 1992, when the brothers Carli and others started brewing as a hobby. What began as a passion project gradually evolved into a professional operation, leading to the founding of Stichting Bierbrouwerij Sint Servattumus. On 1 September 1997, the official step was made from home brewer to professional brewery, marking a new chapter in the production of regional, specialty beers. The brewery is particularly known for its specialisation in spelt beers — bieren brewed with spelt grain as a key ingredient — giving them a distinctive character that sets Sint Servattumus apart in the Dutch craft beer landscape. Beyond their signature spelt beers, the brewery produces a broader range of special and regional beers, reflecting their commitment to traditional, artisanal brewing methods. One example from their portfolio is the Meibok, a pale golden beer with noticeable haze and a malty, fruit-forward profile. Sint Servattumus is deeply rooted in the Meierijstad region and represents the local brewing culture of North Brabant. Their approach to craftsmanship and regional identity has made them a recognisable name among Dutch beer enthusiasts and a proud part of the local food and drink heritage.
