Stella Artois

Stella Artois is a Belgian pilsner with roots stretching back to 1366, when the Den Hoorn brewery was established in Leuven, Belgium. The beer as we know it today was first brewed in 1926 by Brouwerij Artois, originally launched as a seasonal Christmas beer — hence the name Stella, Latin for star, referencing the Christmas star. Over the decades, the brand grew far beyond its Belgian origins and is now owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, one of the world's largest brewing conglomerates. Stella Artois is a classic European-style pilsner, brewed at 5.2% ABV. It is characterized by its crisp, clean lager profile, brewed with quality malt and hops in the tradition of Belgian brewing. The beer is produced at multiple locations around the world, reflecting its global reach and mainstream positioning as an accessible, internationally recognized lager. Stella Artois ranks as one of the world's best-selling beer brands and holds the title of the world's fourth-largest imported beer. In its home city of Leuven, the original brewery still welcomes visitors, offering a deep dive into over 600 years of Belgian brewing heritage. The iconic chalice glass has become as recognizable as the beer itself.
