Salt Beer Factory

Salt Beer Factory was founded in 2018 in Saltaire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in West Yorkshire, England. The brewery takes its name from Sir Titus Salt, the pioneering Victorian industrialist who built the model village of Saltaire in the nineteenth century. Rooted in a family of breweries, Salt Beer Factory is the younger, more contemporary sibling of the well-established cask brewery Ossett Brewery, bringing a modern craft sensibility to a historically rich setting. Salt Beer Factory brews a wide-ranging portfolio of craft beers with a focus on quality and accessibility. The brewery is known for producing styles such as New England IPAs, Double NEIPAs, sour ales, and fruit sours, reflecting the full breadth of the modern craft beer movement. Their motto captures their ethos well: make great craft beer for everyone and do it our way. Among their notable releases is Tram, a Double New England IPA at 8% ABV, inspired by a weaving term for double-twisted silk, a nod to the textile heritage of Saltaire. Salt Beer Factory has earned significant recognition in the industry. At the 2021 London Beer Competition, the brewery claimed the Brewery of the Year award after achieving the highest average score across its beers. Proudly situated within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Salt Beer Factory sees itself as both a product of and a contributor to the rich industrial and cultural legacy that surrounds it.
