Oettinger Brauerei

Oettinger Brauerei is a German brewery group headquartered in Oettingen, Bavaria, with additional brewing facilities in Mönchengladbach and Braunschweig. The modern chapter of the brewery began in 1956, when Otto Kollmar acquired the historic Fürstliche Genossenschaftsbrauerei — also known as the Fürstliche Brauhaus zu Oettingen — and renamed it Oettinger Brauerei GmbH. The roots of brewing in Oettingen, however, stretch back centuries, making the site one of the longest-standing brewing locations in Germany. Oettinger has grown into one of Germany's largest brewery groups by volume, and has consistently held the title of Germany's best-selling beer brand. The brewery is known for producing a broad portfolio of accessible lagers, pilsners, wheat beers, and other classic German beer styles, brewed in accordance with traditional German standards. Its production model is built around high-volume output and wide distribution, making Oettinger beers among the most widely available in Germany. The Mönchengladbach facility has been operational since 2003 and contributes significantly to the brand's extensive range of products. Oettinger's commercial success is rooted in its value-focused positioning within the German beer market, offering a wide selection of everyday beers at competitive prices. The combination of scale, multiple brewing sites, and consistent quality across its portfolio has cemented Oettinger as a dominant force in the German brewing industry.
