Lindenbrauerei Unna

Lindenbrauerei Unna is a historic brewery located in Unna, in the Nordrhein-Westfalen region of Germany. The brewery has deep roots in the local brewing tradition, though its history was marked by significant transitions: in 1918 it was absorbed by competitor Hansa from Dortmund, and beer production eventually ceased in 1979. After more than 20 years without brewing, LindenBier was revived in September 2002, an event welcomed with great enthusiasm in Unna. The original brewery building has since been transformed into a vibrant cultural and educational centre, serving as an anchor point on the Route Industriekultur in the Ruhr region. The Lindenbrauerei brand is associated with a modest but recognisable portfolio of German beer styles. Known beers include the Lindenbier Natürtrüb, a Zwickel/Kellerbier style, and the Fels Krone Alt, brewed in a German Pils style. The brand has also been linked to retail distribution, with beers such as the Unna Archivist — a blonde beer with a spiced aroma and bitter finish — available through Lidl. According to Untappd, the physical brewery is currently closed and the brand is used for contract brews produced by Radeberger.
