Jupiler is a Belgian lager born in Jupille, near Liège, where it was first brewed in 1950 by Brouwerij Piedboeuf under the name Urtyp. Building on that early success, the brewery expanded its range and introduced Jupiler 5 — a beer named after both its alcohol percentage and the number of ingredients used. Over the decades, Jupiler grew from a local favourite into a national icon, eventually becoming part of the AB InBev portfolio, the world's largest brewer. Today, Jupiler is recognised as the best-selling Belgian beer in the world. Jupiler's portfolio centres on approachable, refreshing lager-style beers brewed for everyday enjoyment. The core range includes Jupiler 5, the alcohol-free Jupiler 0.0, the lighter Jupiler Blue, and Jupiler N.A. The beers are characterised by their clean fermentation, balanced malt profile and crisp finish — hallmarks of a well-crafted Belgian pils. With a market share of 55% in Belgium in 2007, Jupiler has long dominated the domestic beer landscape alongside fellow Belgian brand Stella Artois. As a cultural cornerstone of Belgian beer culture, Jupiler is often referred to as the pils for everyday Belgians. Its broad availability, consistent quality and recognisable branding have cemented its status as Belgium's most popular lager, enjoyed both at home and across export markets worldwide.
