Dommelsch

Dommelsch is one of the oldest breweries in the Netherlands, with brewing activity dating back to 1744 in Dommelen, a small village in the southern Dutch province of North Brabant, along the river Dommel. This makes Dommelsche Bierbrouwerij arguably the oldest still-existing brewery in the country. Over the centuries, the brewery has grown from a local craft operation into one of the most recognisable Dutch beer brands. Today, Dommelsch is part of the AB InBev portfolio, the world's largest brewing company, alongside international brands such as Stella Artois, Leffe, Jupiler, and fellow Dutch label Hertog Jan. Dommelsch positions itself as a reliable, honest, and accessible Dutch lager brand. The core of the portfolio is built around Dommelsch Pilsener, a classic Dutch pilsner that serves as the flagship product of the brewery. The range also includes Dommelsch Ice and Dommelsch Dominator, offering drinkers a few variations within the lager category. In 1975, the brewery also introduced Stella Artois Special Dutch as part of a broader commercial partnership, reflecting its ties to the international brewing industry. With nearly three centuries of brewing history, Dommelsch carries a strong regional identity rooted in the Brabant countryside. The brand continues to emphasise its heritage and craftsmanship, with a focus on quality pilsner brewing that has remained central to its identity since its founding along the banks of the Dommel.
