Born as a direct response to the evolving beer culture in South Africa, the brewery set out to share the exciting developments taking place in the global craft beer world. Since its founding, Devil's Peak has been widely recognised as a trailblazer in South Africa's craft beer renaissance, helping to put Cape Town firmly on the map as a destination for serious beer lovers. The brewery is known for its broad and adventurous portfolio, regularly producing 30 to 40 different beers and ciders, ranging from core range staples to one-off limited releases under the 'Explorer' series. Devil's Peak works across a wide spectrum of beer styles, with a reputation for approachable yet well-crafted beers that reflect both local character and international inspiration. Their dedication to quality and innovation has made them one of the most celebrated craft breweries on the African continent. Among their notable collaborations, the brewery has worked with other prominent figures in the South African craft beer scene, including a collaboration imperial stout brewed with independent brewer Lethu Tshabangu. Over the years, Devil's Peak has grown significantly and now operates under the parent company Signal Hill Products, which is investing in a major new brewery facility in Midrand to continue expanding their reach across South Africa.
