De Hollandse Pilsener Fabriek
Netherlands · Founded in 2013
De Hollandse Pilsener Fabriek is a Dutch craft brewery founded in 2013, based in Halfweg, a small town situated between Amsterdam and Haarlem in North Holland. The brewery has built its identity around a straightforward philosophy: no unnecessary fuss, just good beer. From the outset, the brewery has been committed to sustainability, participating in collaborative initiatives alongside fellow Dutch craft breweries such as Bird Brewery, Frontaal Brewing Company, Jopen, Oedipus Brewing, Texelse Bierbrouwerij, and Brouwerij Troost, working collectively on more sustainable brewing practices. True to its name, De Hollandse Pilsener Fabriek specialises in clean, well-crafted lagers and pilseners, offering a core range complemented by seasonal releases. Among its seasonal portfolio, a Lentebock (spring bock) stands out — a 6.5% ABV, 33cl bottle that showcases the brewery's ability to work beyond the pilsener style while staying rooted in classic Dutch brewing traditions. The brewery has earned notable recognition at the Dutch Beer Challenge, where its Lentebock took home a Gold medal in the Blond-/Meibock category. A Premium Pilsener brewed in collaboration with Miedema Eventservice also claimed Gold at the same competition, cementing De Hollandse Pilsener Fabriek's reputation as a quality-driven brewery with a strong focus on accessible, well-executed Dutch lager styles.
