Brouwerij tHuis
Netherlands · Founded in 2016
Brouwerij tHuis is a small-scale Dutch brewery with roots in Schipluiden, a village in the South Holland municipality of Midden-Delfland. It started in 2016 as an in-house brewery for lunchroom Het Raadhuis in Schipluiden, where brewing took place on a very modest scale. In September 2018, the brewery received its own independent identity under the name Brouwerij tHuis, and operations were later established in the nearby village of Den Hoorn. The brewery operates as a tenant brewer, meaning it brews at external facilities rather than maintaining its own fully equipped brewhouse. Despite its small scale, Brouwerij tHuis had built up an assortment of around 13 beers by 2018, reflecting an ambition to explore a varied range of beer styles. Among its beers is the Woudtse Weizen, a wheat beer brewed for local establishment De Hooiberg, showcasing the brewery's willingness to collaborate with regional partners and produce location-specific beers. Brouwerij tHuis represents the craft and community spirit of small independent Dutch brewing, with close ties to the local hospitality scene in the Midden-Delfland area.
