Brouwerij Scheveningen
Netherlands · Founded in 1996
Brouwerij Scheveningen is a brewery rooted in The Hague, with a history stretching back to 1996. Named after the famous seaside district of Scheveningen, the brewery draws its identity from the coastal character of this iconic Dutch neighbourhood. Over the years, Brouwerij Scheveningen has built a loyal following in the local beer scene, and its beers have been stocked in restaurants and bars across The Hague. In 2022, the rights to the brewery were taken over by De Prael, a well-known social brewery also based in The Hague. The brewery's portfolio is characterised by beers with names inspired by Scheveningen and the sea. From references to the local dialect and maritime heritage to seaside culture, the naming reflects a strong sense of place. Among the range is the Scheveninger Tripel, a Belgian-style strong ale that stands out within the lineup. The beers have been available both on tap and in bottle, and have been featured at beer festivals such as the Eiber Bier Festival, where they can be enjoyed alongside other Dutch craft breweries.
