Brouwerij Rotjoch is a microbrewery based in Hoorn, in the West Frisian region of North Holland, the Netherlands. The brewery was founded by three friends who share a passion for beer — self-described beer geeks, beer lovers, and beer sommeliers who turned their enthusiasm into a craft brewing venture. Rooted in their local community, Rotjoch has become a recognizable name in the West Frisian craft beer scene, participating in regional events such as the Westfries Bierfestival since its very first edition in 2020. The brewery operates with a straightforward philosophy: 'gewoon brouwen, geen poespas' — just brewing, no fuss. This no-nonsense approach is reflected in their approachable yet characterful beer portfolio. Rotjoch brews across a range of styles, with one of their notable beers being the Malle Bikkel Tripel, a Belgian-style tripel that carries a name with a local story behind it. The brewery is closely connected to the local hospitality scene, with entrepreneur Jort Poeze playing a key role in linking the brewery to Hoorn's craft beer culture. With a growing Untappd community and a loyal following of over 7,200 check-ins, Brouwerij Rotjoch continues to represent West Frisian brewing pride on both a local and regional level.
