Brouwerij Ganzenhof
Belgium · Founded in 2016
Brouwerij Ganzenhof is a small Belgian craft brewery founded in 2016 by Chris, who drew inspiration for the name from his parents' farm, which was known as Ganzenhof. Based in Schelle, in the Antwerp province, the brewery represents what can be described as the 'micro-layer' of Belgian beer culture: small-scale, locally rooted, and driven by passion rather than commercial ambition. The brewery produces a range of craft beers, including a blonde ale known as 'Paul', which was originally brewed as a hobby project in collaboration with family. This approachable, characterful beer reflects the personal and informal spirit at the heart of Ganzenhof's brewing philosophy. The brewery embodies the tradition of Belgian homebrewing evolving into a genuine small-scale craft operation. Ganzenhof has been featured at local beer events, including tastings at Wielercafé De Musette in Boom, where five of their beers were showcased. The brewery stands as a testament to the vibrant grassroots beer scene in Belgium, where local community ties and a love for the craft take centre stage.
