Brouwerij De Kluys is a craft brewery located in Neerlangel, a small village in the municipality of Oss in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The brewery draws its inspiration from the region's medieval history, naming its beers after Godfried van Leuven, a medieval landgrave connected to the area. With Neerlangel counting only around fifty inhabitants, De Kluys is a true village brewery with a distinctly local character. The brewery produces a range of beers under the brand name Godfried, which serves as the umbrella label for its portfolio. The lineup includes a tripel called Godfried met den Baard, a robust beer of 8% ABV that was the first to be released in wider distribution, as well as a Blonde Godfried. The beers reflect an artisanal approach to brewing, with a focus on regional identity and traditional craft. Brouwerij De Kluys has expanded its facilities to include a terrace and a tasting room (proeflokaal), making it a destination for beer lovers exploring the Maashorst region. The taproom sits just metres away from the brewing kettles, offering visitors an authentic and intimate brewery experience.
