Brasserie Oxymore
Belgium · Founded in 2006
Brasserie Oxymore is a small Belgian brewery located in the hamlet of Limerlé, nestled in the Ardennes region of Wallonia. Founded in July 2006 by Anne Peters, the brewery was established in a former stable, giving it a rustic and authentic character that reflects the rural landscape surrounding it. Originally, the brewery served primarily to supply the adjacent bistro with its own beer, keeping production close to its roots. Over time, Brasserie Oxymore grew beyond its initial purpose, developing a portfolio of beers that embody the artisanal spirit of the Belgian craft brewing tradition. The brewery is part of a vibrant community of independent Wallonian breweries, sharing the regional stage with names such as Lupulus, Sainte-Hélène, and Saint-Monon. Its beers are crafted with attention to local character and traditional brewing methods. The brewery is connected to the accommodation project 'Périple en la Demeure', offering visitors an immersive experience in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. Guests can enjoy the taproom atmosphere and discover the beers in their place of origin, making Brasserie Oxymore not just a producer of beer but a destination in itself.
